The Sustainability Committee’s purpose is to promote sustainable investment, trade, business and collaboration between Australia, Japan and New Zealand. The ANZCCJ is committed to advancing sustainable practices, which are crucial to achieving longevity and better outcomes for our economy, environment, investors, customers, and society. Since its establishment in 2021, the committee has facilitated opportunities for building connections and collaboration in the development of sustainability strategies across large corporates, SME businesses, start-ups, academia and government.

The Food, Agriculture & Hospitality Committee (FAHC) comprises a dynamic and diverse group of members involved in the food, agriculture and hospitality industries in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, at both private industry and government levels. The FAHC acts to share information on import/export markets, policy development and issues such as food safety and security. As ANZCCJ’s longest standing subcommittee, the FAHC has built a lasting reputation as a reliable representative for ANZ Food, Agriculture and Hospitality in Japan, widely known for showcasing the diversity and world-class quality of Australian and New Zealand premium food and wine and hosting annual volunteering efforts in support of local Japanese agriculture in disaster-affected areas.

The ANZCCJ Real Assets Committee represents a significant component of the expanding investment landscape between Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Japanese real estate and infrastructure investment in Australia and New Zealand has seen a notable uptick, driven by the countries’ economic stability and growth prospects. The Real Assets Committee is the ANZCCJ’s newest initiative, aimed at fostering ongoing dialogue and connections within the burgeoning real asset sector.

1. To foster deeper engagement and collaboration within the ANZCCJ community by providing a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and networking in the real asset sector.

The ANZCCJ Sports for Business (SFB) Committee is dedicated to the development of business opportunities and relationships for members through sporting related activities. As an integral part of Australian and New Zealand identity, sport is uniquely placed as a vehicle for both representation and commerce. Since the committee’s inception in 2016, it has played a role in advancing ANZ-Japan relations through the medium of sport; previous notable involvement includes the spearheading of a “Rugby Alliance” in the lead-up to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and championing the participation of Australia and New Zealand companies during 2020 Olympics.

The ANZCCJ Young Professionals Community aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the Australia, New Zealand and Japan business community by acting as a platform for accessing and sharing information and career advice, in addition to facilitating networking and professional development opportunities. Although membership is open to anyone who wishes to participate, the community is targeted towards university students and early-career professionals, with more established professionals taking a mentorship role as “Sempai Professionals”.

The ANZCCJ Alumni Community is an incredibly important part of the ANZ community in Japan; our past members are ambassadors, mentors, and champions of the relationships between our three countries. Maintaining links and continuing engagement for those who have called Japan home is a core objective for ANZCCJ, hence the Alumni Community was launched to offer a forum for connecting our Alumni, with fellow returnees to share opinions and experiences, strengthen international relationships and facilitate new business interactions.

The ANZCCJ Start-up and Entrepreneur Community is a professional network designed to empower business ventures by individual and SME ANZCCJ members. This community provides support and guidance to members in the initial stages of their entrepreneurial journey and to those looking to grow their existing enterprise.
